Exciting Disruptors

Who dies?

What are the ethical and moral decisions which have been programmed into autonomous vehicles to assist them to make the "right" choices?  If there is an inevitable crash what choice will the vehicle make, who or what (in the case of property damage) will it save from damage injury or even death.  Do you believe that the insurance market may influence this (or already are) in order to reduce their payouts?

Thanks for the question. You'll need to come and hear my talk at the Exciting Disrupters event. The ethical questions are overplayed and not really relevant - but they make a great philosophical after dinner debate!
